Update Brush Fire; 12:06PM; Greek Theater x 2700 N Vermont; internal:/; Hollywood; #GriffithPark KNOCKDOWN 70FF in 45 mins. Fire contained to 1/2 acre (topography drive, uphill with no wind) with no injuries reported. Firefighters continue to create a 'scratch line' fully around the fire to address any hot spots remaining. Those at Griffith Observatory were asked to shelter in place with no evacuation deemed necessary. The Observatory is now fully re-opening with LAFD apparatus clearing. This stubborn fire was located in the walls on both the 2nd and 3rd floors which required extensive investigation and opening of walls to fully extinguished. Update Structure Fire; 08:21AM; 5211 W Adams Bl; internal:/; West Adams; Fire appears to have originated on 3rd floor and traveled through wall to 2nd floor. Firefighters (69 FFs assigned to the incident) continue to seek out the seat of the fire, opening walls as needed. The building is believed to be vacant and search underway to ensure no occupants / patients. No additional resources are expected to be required.
