INVESTIGATION CONCLUSION Structure Fire; INC#0089; 02:00PM; 203 E 3rd St; Downtown; LAFD Fire Investigators have concluded their investigation and the cause will remain "undetermined." Evidence confirmed that the fire began inside the structure and is not related to the individuals in tents outside the structure. Due to the compromised structural integrity of the fire unit and partial building collapse in the probable area of ignition, investigators were unable to determine anything further.; Nicholas Prange

KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0546; 10:51AM; 16134 W Saticoy St; https://bit.ly/3pE0Qnw; Van Nuys; LAFD responded to a Greater Alarm structure fire at a one-story L-shaped strip mall, where flames consumed multiple units. 74 firefighters skillfully worked in coordination for 34 minutes to extinguish the flames. No reported injuries. Update CONTAINED Brush Fire; INC#0147; 05:20AM; 1430 W L St; https://bit.ly/3vasEB8; Harbor City; Fire crews worked together to shuttle water to the fire, which ultimately burned 2 acres in medium-to-heavy brush near LA Harbor College (behind the baseball field). It took 51 firefighters to extinguish the flames. Firefighters will remain on scene for an extended period of time for mop up (to extinguish hot spots and smoldering material in the burn footprint). No reported injuries. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1627; 11:30PM; 325 S San Pedro St; https://bit.ly/3gjMGnj; Downtown; *Updated address* LAFD arrived to find a large homeless encampment on fire near a 100' x 100' one-story commercial building with smoke coming from the roof ventilators. Additional companies were requested, making this a Greater Alarm structure fire. Firefighters forced entry into the building to discover fire inside, and performed a coordinated interior fire attack with vertical (rooftop) ventilation. It took 73 firefighters 22 minutes to extinguish the blaze. There were no reported injuries.
