NOW OUT Structure Fire; INC#1154; 04:48PM; 7140 S Flight Av; https://bit.ly/3w1BrWg; Westchester; Twenty-eight firefighters arrived to find a four-story modern apartment building with heavy smoke in the hallway. Firefighters coordinated interior fire attack teams locating the fire with salvage teams on the floor below to cover belongings, to protect from potential water damage from hose lines and fire sprinkler activation. Ultimately, it took 23 minutes (5:11 PM) to locate and extinguish the flames. Firefighters will remain on scene to ventilate fresh air through the building with mechanical blowers, and overhaul the charred areas of the building. No reported injuries. Firefighters extricated three from the vehicle, transporting them in critical condition. One patient from the apartment building was transported in fair condition (total of 4 transported to local trauma center).
