Firefighters arrived to quickly extinguish the structure and outside fires, protecting the interior of the home. Firefighters are setting up ventilation measures to clear some light smoke that made its way inside. Ultimately, it took 18 firefighters 15 minutes to respond and extinguish the flames. The adult male driver was transported to a local hospital in serious condition. There may be extended power outages in the area. Update Structure Fire; INC#1469; 09:07AM; 1539 W Cambria St; #Westlake; LAFD Arson Investigators arrested a 38-year-old male on PC 451(b) for starting a tree fire last night that spread to an inhabited structure at 1539 W Cambria St in Westlake. However, it was unrelated to the recent spree of 26 tree fires, which remains under active investigation.; Nicholas Prange

Fire fully consumed the attic, with partial involvement of the second (top) floor, where firefighters prevented it from burning down into any first floor units. It took 74 firefighters 45 minutes to extinguish the flames. Approximately 27 people will be displaced. No reported injuries. Firefighters took care to protect belongings below before applying water to the flames above.
