The terrain is remote and steep, making it very difficult to access by ground. LAFD and LACoFD air support will make water drops to knock down these flames. There are currently no homes or property threatened, and no evacuations necessary or anticipated. Several spot fires have started near the original. Currently, all spot fires are small. Air Ops making water drops and ground crews are deploying hose lines and hand tools. Mayor's Crisis Response team and Red Cross are on scene for support. The cause of the fire is under active investigation. Firefighters battled fire in a one story home that was fully engulfed with flames. Their efforts were slowed by excessive storage conditions outside and inside the home. Fire was extinguished on the main floor, as well as in the attic and in the subfloor (raised foundation). The search for any occupants continues. No one has been found to be inside the home so far. No reported injuries at this time.
