There is a partial roof collapse in the main fire section. Firefighters have extinguished the bulk of the fire and continue to battle against fire remaining in the rear portion (Charlie side) of the building. Knockdown - Brush Fire; INC#0130; 04:28AM; 2580 Cahuenga Bl East; https://bit.ly/3VIRJ44; #HollywoodHills; Despite light wind and embercast, precise LAFD helicopter water drops held the one-eighth (0.125) acre of burning medium-to-heavy brush in check, as ground crews hiked to the east side of the Cahuenga Pass south of the Hollywood Cross to fully contain and extinguish flames in less than an hour. No injury. No structure threat or damage. No evacuation. LAFD ground crews will remain at scene this morning to overhaul and fully extinguish smoldering debris. Structure Fire - FATALITY; INC#1769; 10:02PM; 6062 W Fountain Av; https://bit.ly/3utWP8m; Hollywood; FIRE NOW OUT: At 9:48PM the LAFD received a call for a reported structure fire. The first arriving company found a small, one story bungalow with light smoke showing upon arrival. Firefighters initiated an offensive fire attack and located the fire in one room. They quickly extinguished the fire and conducted a search of the building. Firefighters located a deceased person. The preliminary investigation indicates a potential suspicious death prior to the fire. LAFD Arson and LAPD are responding for the full investigation.
