They cut lines around the perimeter and conducted mop up operations to ensure all hotspots were out. Brush Fire; INC#1344; 04:43PM; 2200 Sullivan Fire Rd; https://bit.ly/3z8UaSb; Pacific Palisades; LAFD Air Ops located two small fires (each less than 30’ x 30’) located near Murphy’s Ranch, in medium to heavy brush. There is no wind at this time. The fires are located in difficult to reach areas. LAFD Air Ops conductd water drops which knocked out the bulk of the flames. Meanwhile, ground firefighters will work to gain access and cut lines around the perimeter. No structures damaged and no injuries reported. Firefighters will continue to address hot spots which may impact the SB 405 Freeway. Brush Fire - FORWARD PROGRESS STOPPED ; INC#0142; 03:36AM; 6300 N Griffith Park Dr; https://bit.ly/3OA7KHI; Griffith Park; Using the wagon battery atop the fire engine and LAFD Air Operations water drops, firefighters stopped all forward progress of the fire. Due to the very steep terrain, it will be an extended operation getting lines in place to cut around the burn area for the mop up of any remaining hot spots. No injuries reported and no structures threatened nor damaged.
