KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1268; 04:17PM; 7510 N Craner Av; https://bit.ly/3xFR6RF; #SunValley; Firefighters responded to a structure fire in a one-story home in Sun Valley. Crews quickly extended hose lines into the structure and battled flames to the rear of the building. There were 30 firefighters on scene who extinguished the flames in 13 minutes. During the course of the firefighting operations, one person was found deceased inside the home. Firefighters are performing an extensive search of the burned home to check for additional occupants. Crews ascended ladders to the roof to vertically ventilate the structure, while other companies deployed hose lines for an interior fire attack. It took 36 firefighters 13 minutes from the time of alarm to extinguish the flames. One adult male patient was found with burn injuries, who was treated and transported to a local hospital by LAFD paramedics. Ground crews were unable to bring apparatus to the patient's location due to the terrain, therefore LAFD Air Operations utilized a hoist operation. Rescuers were lowered down to the patient to assess, treat, and prepare the patient for a hoist. LAFD Air Operations hoisted and transported the patient by air to a local hospital.
