Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0768; 11:46AM; 19058 W Schoenborn St; https://bit.ly/4oIdrDv; Northridge; 38 firefighters achieved a knock down in 19 minutes. Fire contained to garage which housed an electric vehicle (EV). A 60 y/o male occupant of the home attempted to control the fire prior to LAFD arrival, and is being assessed for minor inhalation injury. No transport is expected. LAFD HazMat is responding to mitigate any additional hazards associated with the burned EV. No injuries reported to LAFD members. Cause of fire under investigation. Firefighters proceeded to the second floor and discovered burned contents in one unit, already extinguished. One neighboring structure sustained moderate damage (no occupants or injuries reported). LADWP notified for power wires down on scene. Fire cause undetermined at this time.
