Update Complete Animal Rescue -; INC#0605; 01:58PM; 11770 W Foothill Bl; http://bit.ly/2ZiY8cA; Hansen Dam; LAFD ground crews worked for nearly 2 hours to manually free the 14 year-old (now determined to weigh) ~ 1000 lb male Peruvian Paso horse that was trapped to his belly in thick mud at a remote area of the Hansen Dam Recreation Area. The horse appears to be (and the uninjured female rider strongly concurs) in minimal distress. A gas line had caught fire in the garage. Firefighters shut off the utilities to eliminate the hazard, while finishing the fire attack. One patient was assessed and treated for a minor laceration.
