Update #SaddleridgeFire Brush Fire; INC#1582; 03:10AM; Wb 210 Fy; http://bit.ly/2QajYKF; Sylmar; Size of the fire is updated to upwards of 4,000 acres. Once daylight comes, a more accurate assessment can be performed. A number of homes have been destroyed by fire but the estimated number is not available at this time. Mandatory evacuation orders remain in effect and are available at https://www.lafd.org/news/saddleridge-brush-fire. This is an extremely dynamic, high wind driven fire and the weather will continue to drive the fire through the night. LAFD has 87 fire companies assigned with assistance from agencies across the region. Additional resources are on order from the state.
