Update Knockdown Structure Fire; INC#0308; 07:42AM; 7560 N Woodman Pl; https://bit.ly/3hevYFL; Van Nuys; Following brief defensive operations and the challenge of high voltage electric wires arcing and possibly energizing the entire structure, the 33 assigned LAFD personnel returned to a bold and well crafted offense, taking just 23 minutes to fully extinguish flames within the well involved 50' x 100' one story metal clad building that appears to have housed a cannabis growing operation. No injury. No other structures damaged. Crews worked from the top and bottom of the fire (using Mulholland and Coldwater) to quickly get lines in place and prevent the forward progress of the fire. No structures were damaged and no injuries reported. Rescue; INC#1627; 09:32PM; 11400 N Browns Canyon Rd; https://bit.ly/2MIumpp; Chatsworth; LAFD ground and air units responded into Los Angeles County jurisdiction near Oat Mountain to find and rescue a stranded but uninjured adult male mountain bicyclist. LACoFD (to include two helicopters) and Angeles National Forest both have resources on scene. CHP is being requested to close the WB 210 FWY to the 118 FWY due to emergency operations.
