The fire is wholly within the jurisdiction of Los Angeles County Fire Department and the incident will transition to them for the mop up operations. Firefighters prevented the fire from extending into the 2nd floor or to the exposed, adjacent unit. The occupants have five cats; firefighters located three and are continuing to search for the remaining two (their conditions are unknown at this time).
