A hiker sustained a long fall, and was hoisted/transported in critical condition to an area trauma center by LAFD Air Ops. Crews were unable to confirm reports of a second patient being taken to a hospital prior to first responders arriving. A total of 6 patients had minor medical complaints (such as watery eyes, scratchy throat, etc.). One patient was transported and 5 others declined transport after a medical assessment by Paramedics. LAFD Hazardous Materials specialists are testing the atmosphere inside with air monitoring equipment.
