The San Diego bound passenger train came to an emergency stop and remains just east of the location. The train crew and approximately 116 passengers have denied injury, and will remain on board the train, pending the train's release by LAPD investigators. The flames damage a nearby shed and detached garage. Firefighters quickly deployed hose lines and defended nearby homes, keeping them from being damaged. Ultimately, it took 30 firefighters 25 minutes to eliminate the flames. There were no reported injuries.
