KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire 07/06/2023 INC#1273

KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1273; 05:44PM; 7944 N Sale Av; https://bit.ly/46AiUnE; #WestHills; Firefighters found a one-story single-family home engulfed in flames, with reports of several people home at the time of the blaze. All three occupants evacuated prior to LAFD arrival. Firefighters quickly deployed hose lines to attack the fire inside and protect the nearby threatened building, while others ascended ladders to perform ventilation on the roof (to allow smoke and super-heated gases to escape and make it more tenable for fire crews below). It took 25 firefighters 18 minutes to extinguish the flames. All three occupants were assessed by paramedics and, thankfully, some only had minor complaints due to smoke and elected not to go to the hospital. Cause under investigation.; FS 106; Batt 17; Valley Bureau; Council District 12; BC17 E105 E106 E305 E72 EM17 RA105 RA106 T105; CH9; 17; Nicholas Prange
