Five patients were transported with non-life threatening injuries and one declined LAFD transport. The Metrolink train which was stopped for safety reasons was allowed to slowly continue once the tracks were clear. Fire crews proceeded in defensive mode, fighting fire from the exterior to ensure firefighter safety. Bulk of the flames knocked down within ten minutes; full knockdown declared at 3:32 PM. Tractor-Trailer Fire - Now Out; INC#0462; 08:30AM; Nb 5 Fy; https://bit.ly/4m0sPJP; Arleta; Tractor portion of a tractor-trailer, pulled off to the side of the road and well involved with fire -- driver was able to escape safely with no injuries. The trailer tank, carrying used cooking oil, was exposed but not involved with fire. Firefighters have fully extinguished all flames. CHP (LOG 615) is working to reopen a closed lane of the northbound 5 Freeway.
