Crews remain on scene to "mop up" the hot spots and improve the perimeter. No reported injuries. Update CONTAINED Brush Fire; INC#0715; 02:55PM; 9851 W Lanark St; https://bit.ly/3fHBtuP; Shadow Hills; The incident was quickly escalated to 84 firefighters responding to the brush fire. The fire burned approximately 5 - 6 acres when LAFD stopped all progress of the fire 37 minutes after the time of alarm. This fire was in the former burn footprint of the 2017 La Tuna Fire, which burned 7,194 acres. Structures are no longer threatened. Crews will remain on scene to extinguish hot spots within the burn perimeter, and to improve the line around the fire. No reported injuries. No structures damaged. One patient needed extrication, and LAFD used hydraulic tools to force open one door and free the patient from the wreckage. LAFD firefighter-paramedics assessed all six and transported five (one declined transport). All five patients transported were in fair condition, consisting of two adults and three children (ages/genders unknown), and taken to a trauma center as a precaution. One was beyond medical help and will be handled by the coroner. Two others were transported to a local trauma center (one in serious condition, and one in grave condition).
