All nine were taken to area hospitals by LAFD ambulance in fair condition for further medical examination. Update Brush Fire - Structure; INC#1304; 08:57PM; 8648 W La Tuna Canyon Rd; https://bit.ly/3sbFuyl; Shadow Hills; KNOCKDOWN: 61 firefighters working from both the ground and the air extinguished a well involved, 3000 sq ft ascending hillside home in 59 minutes. Firefighters prevented the blaze from progressing into a brush fire. One occupant of the home is being evaluated for any necessary treatment/transport. All outside agencies (LA County, Verdugo) are being released. LAFD crews will remain on scene extinguishing any remaining hot spots. Cause and $ loss TBD. LAFD Air Ops helicopters are focusing on preventing the fire from extending into the brush while ground firefighters are working to extinguish the structure fire.
