Update Knockdown - Structure Fire; INC#1374; 06:09PM; 20179 W Sherman Wy; https://bit.ly/3uR0v5I; #Winnetka; 33 Firefighters took just 28 minutes in offensive firefighting operations to access, confine and fully extinguish stubborn flames in a 300' x 50' two story office building that had fire showing from both floors on arrival. The fire was confined within one first floor unit (yet undetermined business), as well as four conjoined units on the second floor, where clear evidence was noted of a marijuana grow operation. No injury. Update Traffic Collision with Entrapment; INC#1731; 10:30PM; 22000 W Dumetz Rd; https://bit.ly/3sGrfDj; #WoodlandHills; Solo sedan collided forcefully with a tree on the southwest corner of Dumetz Road and Topanga Canyon Boulevard, badly trapping two young adult female occupants, with a third young adult female found outside the vehicle on LAFD arrival. Teams of Firefighters and Firefighter/Paramedics worked swiftly and skillfully to extricate the trapped women and provide care. Two of the patients were taken to a regional trauma center in critical condition, while a third sadly proved beyond medical help and was determined dead at the scene. Closure of one or more lanes of roadway in the immediate area is anticipated until LAPD and Coroner operations are complete, unknown duration. Motorists, expect congestion and delay, avoid the immediate area and consider an alternate route. Detours are readily available.
