This fire was determined to be entirely within the City of Los Angeles and will be handled by LAFD. Los Angeles County and Ventura County Firefighters as well as all helicopters have been released. No updated acreage figure yet available. No injury. No structure threat. The fire did not impinge upon rail lines in the Santa Susana Pass, and a brief precautionary closure of those tracks has been lifted. Update Hazardous Materials Investigation; INC#1162; 07:00PM; 333 Universal Hollywood Dr; https://bit.ly/3mH2SCA; #StudioCity; A thorough inspection and methodical evaluation of the hotel room in question by an LAFD Hazardous Materials team yielded an unspecified quantity of black tar heroin, within which was a barely discernable trace of fentanyl sensed only by comprehensive instrumental testing. No other person than the young adult male hotel room occupant required medical attention or complained of any illness. The man was taken to an area hospital in fair condition. No escalating or off-site hazard was identified. Contrary to public rumor, LAFD Hazmat experts did NOT discover any "white powder" or "powdered substance" within the hotel room. L.A.
