KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire 08/26/2024 INC#1230

Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1230; 03:57PM; 18325 W Vanowen St; https://bit.ly/3AEpK05; Reseda; KNOCKDOWN: 60 firefighters extinguished the fire in 29 minutes. The fire was in one unit of a center-hall portion of the large apartment building. The fire extended into the hallway and filled it with heavy smoke. Crews ensured any occupants sheltered in place until the smoke was cleared and they could safely exit. One patient (not the fire unit) is being evaluated. Firefighters will continue conducting overhaul operations to ensure no hot spots remain in the affected walls. Salvage operations are underway to protect belongings from water/smoke damage in the units below and adjacent.
