The first 32 LAFD firefighters took 24 minutes (2:29am) to respond, confine, and extinguish the flames. No reported injuries. Two of the four occupants in the vehicle were transported to the hospital in fair condition, while the other two declined further care. It took 52 firefighters 22 minutes to extinguish the flames, which they contained to just one unit. No firefighter injuries. LAPD Inc #343. This structure had burned previously and was already ventilated from past firefighting operations, therefore the 32 responding LAFD firefighters were able to effectively extinguish the flames from the exterior in 16 minutes, without injury. Crews developed hose lines from the exterior, in defensive mode, due to the uncertain structural stability of the dilapidated building, which sustained partial collapses at times during the fire fight. Ultimately, it took 66 firefighters 38 minutes to complete extinguishment of the intense flames. No reported injuries.
