Structure Fire - Now Out; INC#1390; 05:28PM; 3231 N Amethyst St; #LincolnHeights; Two-story descending hillside home with light smoke showing. Firefighters made entry and found fire in one room of the ground level. It took 18 firefighters 16 minutes (5:22) from the time of alarm to extinguish the flames. No reported injuries. KNOCKDOWN Greater Alarm Structure Fire; INC#1175; 03:53PM; 220 S Hoover St; #Westlake; Firefighters arrived to find a two-story multi-family residential structure with fire showing. The attic was well-involved with fire, and partial involvement on the second floor. It took 67 firefighters 25 minutes to access, confine, and extinguish the flames. No reported injuries. It took 34 firefighters 27 minutes to extinguish the flames and protect nearby residential buildings. No reported injuries. Two were deceased on scene. Three have been transported to local hospitals in fair-to-moderate condition. Unknown ages/genders/circumstances. Approximately 125 passengers have now exited the train, without medical complaint. Two train operators have also disembarked. Both patients were quickly extricated, but sadly, one was beyond medical help. The other will be transported in grave condition. A third patient is being assessed on scene for seemingly-minor injuries. Crews searched the train for additional injuries, but found no complaints from passengers. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0296; 06:48AM; 820 S Bonnie Brae St; https://bit.ly/3Z620sE; #Westlake; Firefighters arrived to find an out building on fire, spreading to a two-story living space (guest house? accessory dwelling unit?). 54 Firefighters split their efforts to extinguish both structures in 24 minutes. Firefighters found one occupant in the living quarters and evacuated him. As a precaution, firefighter-paramedics did a full assessment and found him to be in good condition, with no need for treatment or transport. No injuries.
