Complete - Rescue; INC#0709; 11:45AM; 1630 N Main St; https://bit.ly/44Hnuig; #Chinatown; An adult male worker at an electric utility yard reportedly fell ten feet from a crane platform ladder to a catwalk below (that is approximately 50' above ground). LAFD Paramedics climbed to his location, to find the man conscious and alert, in good condition without obvious injury. In accordance with workplace safety protocol, he has been placed in a harness and assisted walking across the catwalk to utilize a freight elevator in descending to ground level and further on-site medical evaluation. No other injuries reported. Update Greater Alarm Structure Fire; INC#1628; 09:50PM; 131 W Av 43; https://bit.ly/3pNS4YD; #HighlandPark; A previously sustained and bandaged injury by the adult female resident initially suspected of having sustained a burn injury, proved not to be related to the fire. She declined further care. Two other persons later came forward with minor complaints following possible smoke exposure, and are being medically assessed by LAFD Paramedics at the scene. No other injuries reported. Contained - Brush Fire; INC#1066; 04:15PM; SB 5 Fwy transition to SB 110 Parkway; https://bit.ly/3jdG0tf; #ElysianPark; LAFD ground and air responders, with the assistance of City Park Rangers and a helicopter from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responding in Automatic Aid, have fully extinguished the vehicle fire, and confined fire to approximately one (1) acre of heavy brush. No injury. No structure damage. No evacuation. LAFD crews will remain in the vicinity handling full extinguishment and mop up until 7:30 PM, and will work with CHP and Caltrans to reopen southbound lanes of the 110 Parkway south of the Golden State (I-5) Freeway as soon as possible. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0152; 04:21AM; 690 S Park View St; https://bit.ly/3JLyPpd; Westlake; KNOCKDOWN: Over 90 firefighters extinguished the Major Emergency structure fire in one hour and 35 minutes with no injuries reported. The extent of damage to the adjacent two buildings is being determined. The residents evacuated from the four story apartment building on the Bravo (east) side are able to rehouse. LAFD Arson is on scene for the investigation per protocol for an incident of this size. Traffic will be affected well into the morning as crews (some are being released) continue with the overhaul operations.
