Firefighters deployed the aerial ladder to the unit's window to extricate one occupant (who was standing in the window. There primary and secondary searches were clear. Firefighters attacked fire in the garage while simultaneously making entrance into the home to fight fire in the attic and salvage property on the main floor. Knockdown declared in 29 minutes with 32 firefighters working on scene. However the water flow from the hydrant is flooding the roof of a two-story, center hall building (housing a church). Large amount of water is accumulating on both floors and damaging the structure. Firefighters are shutting down the hydrant and additional resources are enroute to assist with the water removal operation.
