Incident Command immediately attached HazMat specialists and requested nearby train tracks shut down. Facing access issues, first-arriving companies forced entry through a large gate -- engine companies then utilized powerful streams of water to ensure firefighters remained at a distance from the hazardous materials. The National Weather Service has downgraded the Flash Flood Warning for the rest of the City of L.A. to a Flood Advisory, also in effect until 2 PM. Red Cross has been notified due to displaced occupants due to heavy fire damage. Building and Safety are responding to assess structural integrity. It took 38 firefighters 27 minutes to fully extinguished the blaze. No injuries to fire department personnel. Cause of fire is unknown and under active investigation by LAFD Arson. LAPD INC #423.
