Fire has been observed on several levels of the ship. Port PD and Customs are reporting to assist with deboarding the 23-person crew onboard this 1100' docked ship. Ship Fire; INC#1555; 06:38PM; 701 E New Dock St; https://bit.ly/shelter112225; San Pedro; Fire on container ship "ONE Henry Hudson" -- the ship's crew reports an electrical fire originating below deck. Several additional LAFD resources have been attached to the incident, including Heavy Rescue, HazMat, USAR, Fire Boats, and Air Ops. Long Beach Fire and Port PD also en route. Firefighters identified the garage as (converted) living space and ensured all occupants were out of the building. Successful knockdown of contents fire in approximately 15 minutes with 39 firefighters on scene. SHEARED HYDRANT; INC#0299; 05:24AM; 18500 W Ventura Bl; https://bit.ly/48bugju; Tarzana; A sheared fire hydrant hydrant the intersection of Ventura Bl x Otis Av has caused the structural collapse of a gas station awning and damage to a gas pump. Additionally, this massive amount of water has flooded the intersection which is now impassable. LAPD and DOT are controlling/diverting traffic, expect delays while traveling in the area. All occupants exited the building safely with the assistance of firefighters. No injuries reported to civilians or fire department personnel. Arson is responding to investigate the origin/cause of the fire. Concerns over the integrity of the structure is causing the IC (incident commander) to maintain a defensive posture, fighting the fire from the exterior only. Apartment buildings adjacent to the fire are being monitored and protected by fire crews, with no evacuation anticipated. FLASH FLOOD WARNING; 02:48AM; The National Weather service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for parts of the Santa Monica, West Hollywood, Griffith Park, and Downtown Los Angeles areas. The Flash Flood Warning is in effect starting today, November 21st, from 1:45 AM to until 4:00 AM PST. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
