After further assessment, HazMat units confirm this was an accidental release of pepper spray at Panorama High School. 28 patients are being assessed as they shelter in place in their classroom. All patients are in good/fair/stable condition and there is no ongoing threat. Jumper; INC#1091; 02:10PM; Wb 118 Fy; https://bit.ly/3rLksLN; Granada Hills; Firefighters responded to reports of a person (unknown age and gender) who was threatening to jump from the Balboa Bl overpass onto the 118 fwy. LAFD immediately requested all lanes of the WB and EB lanes of the 118 fwy be shut down by CHP. Unfortunately, the patient did complete their jump and is being transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. Any questions, to include duration and impact to freeway traffic, are directed to CHP Log#1459. Full River Rescue 02/11/2026 INC#0135

Full River Rescue; INC#0135; 01:39AM; 2274 N Duvall St; https://bit.ly/4qO4UzL; Elysian Valley; LAFD units located a 56M on an "island" in the LA River. The river, at this juncture, is a vertical channel with an approximate flow rate of 30mph at an approximate depth of 4 feet. The patient is confirmed to be static on a dry island out of the water. LAFD Air Operations completed a hoist operation successfully rescuing the stranded male and transported him to a local hospital for hypothermia symptoms. No injuries to LAFD personnel reported. The vehicle is now fully extinguished. LAFD HazMat is responding due to the type of vehicle (electric) which was damaged. 3 patients (unspecified age, gender or disposition) have been transported to local hospitals for unknown injuries. Cause of fire and involvement of additional vehicles in this incident is unknown. No further updates anticipated. The exposure to the rear of the structure was defended from any damage. Hiker Rescue 02/08/2026 INC#0642

Hiker Rescue; INC#0642; 10:44AM; Fire Rd W; https://bit.ly/402Drit; Shadow Hills; LAFD Air Ops located a mountain biker in a remote location and lowered aeromedics via the hoist. They are currently providing advanced life saving care to the 50yo male patient in severe medical distress, CPR in progress. Burbank Fire Dept is also on scene with a 'gator' (side by side) making their way on the ground as LAFD firefighters continue to hike (and use a 4WD truck) towards the patient.
