Structure Fire; INC#1137; 03:28PM; 2421 N Silver Lake Bl; https://bit.ly/4dI7uU7; Silver Lake; First responding fire companies reported a tree fire and vegetation exposing a garage of a two-story apartment complex with four units. Two units on the first floor and two units on the second floor. Firefighters operated in the offensive mode. LAPD was notified (Inc#2697) and the Department of Transportation also notified. Report of a surface fire on the roof extending into a crawl space. Outside fire is knocked down. No injuries reported at this time. Primary search and secondary search complete with no patients. Structure Fire; INC#0022; 12:13AM; 2846 S Grand Av; https://bit.ly/4zELDWb; Historic South-Central; First arriving fire companies report an outside rubbish fire extending into a 50 foot by 100 foot 1 story commercial with a panel arch roof. Fire fighters initially operated in an offensive mode. Due to heavy pressurized smoke out of first holes on roof and pack-rat conditions in the interior, fire fighting operations transitioned to a defensive mode. Arson was requested. The Department of Building and Safety, the Department of Transportation and the Department of Water and Power were also notified.
