Recycling Yard Fire - Now Out; INC#1750; 11:42PM; 8250 N Tujunga Av; https://bit.ly/4e4sPYS; Sun Valley; Large outside fire in a recycling yard, knocked down after one hour and 17 minutes of defensive firefighting that utilized large-diameter hose lines and focused on structure protection. Fire companies remain on scene for extended overhaul operations, with the assistance of heavy machinery to move scrap piles and extinguish all hotspots as material is turned over. LADWP on scene assisting with high voltage lines down. A small contents fire was located and extinguished. No extension into the main occupancy. A patient, approximately 70 year old male, has sustained injuries related to the fire. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0464; 09:17AM; 1970 S La Salle Av; https://bit.ly/4cM1dFu; Harvard Heights; 44 firefighters extinguished the fire within 19 minutes. The fire originated on the second floor with extension into the attic space. A partial roof collapse occurred prior to firefighters arrival, causing firefighters to proceed with additional caution. LADBS (Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety) is responding to assess the viability of the occupancy. No injuries reported.
