The staff ensured it suffered no injuries and secured the horse in it's stall. The SMART team response is cancelled. The (adult female) patient is being packaged and will be hoisted into the air ambulance for transport momentarily. A hoist operation is planned to safely extract and transport the patient. The horse ran off and location is unknown at this time. The Specialized Mobile Animal Rescue Team (SMART) from LA Animal Services was activated for the horse rescue/care.
