Update Structure Fire; INC#0179; 04:24AM; 6327 S Avalon Bl; https://bit.ly/3dTP8hR; Florence; KNOCKDOWN: 71 firefighters extinguished the fire in 22 mins (prior to the arrival of the additionally requested resources). Fire attack faced challenges initially getting to the seat of the fire due to the contents of the building. The roof ventilation division had heavy fire showing from the hole cut into the roof and it quickly subsided once firefighters were able to get water on the fire from the interior. The primary search of the building was clear and no injuries reported. Cause and $ loss TBD. When fire attack entered into the unit, they found and pulled out one patient, adult Male. Paramedics initiated immediate advanced life saving medical care and transported the patient in grave condition. Per protocol, LAFD Arson section is responding to investigate the cause. Update Brush Fire; INC#0861; 02:30PM; 12130 W Mulholland Dr; https://bit.ly/2XQ7drB; Beverly Crest; KNOCKDOWN: 76 firefighters extinguished the fire in 56 mins. Crews worked from the top and bottom of the fire (using Mulholland and Coldwater) to quickly get lines in place and prevent the forward progress of the fire. No structures were damaged and no injuries reported.
