Structure Fire; INC#1184; 06:43PM; 6853 N Jellico Av; http://bit.ly/2FpbiJm; Lake Balboa; 30 firefighters contained fire in a one-story home to the kitchen only, extinguishing it in just 13 minutes. No occupants were found during a primary search, but firefighters did rescue a canine from inside the structure. The family pet was in good spirits after being rescued and did not appear to need medical attention. No reported injuries. Update Boat Fire KNOCKDOWN 01/05/2020 INC#1108

Update KNOCKDOWN Boat Fire; INC#1108; 06:09PM; 1050 S Ways St; http://bit.ly/2sNUVmM; San Pedro; LAFD Fire Boat 2 initiated fire attack with their monitor (water cannon) on a 40-foot fishing vessel, knocking down the bulk of the fire that was burning primarily in the cabin. Firefighters extended hand lines into the vessel to finish off the remaining flames, extinguishing the fire 24 minutes after the first alarm. Firefighters searched the boat after putting the fire out and found no victims. No reported injuries. Structure Fire 01/05/2020 INC#0088

Structure Fire; INC#0088; 01:54AM; 259 W 42nd St; http://bit.ly/2Qqo8xq; Historic South-Central; 38 firefighters extinguished a detached garage that was fully involved with fire in 15 minutes. The structure appeared to have been converted into a living space with no apparent smoke detectors. Sadly, one adult female was found deceased inside the burned area after firefighters put out the flames. The cause is under active investigation. Update Structure Fire 01/03/2020 INC#1591

Update Structure Fire; INC#1591; 10:45PM; 2043 W Browning Bl; http://bit.ly/39FkJSD; Exposition Park; Building corrected to *one* story residential duplex. Despite the presence of an apparently functional smoke alarm within the premises, the adult female occupant collapsed unconscious within the heavily smoke-charged residential duplex prior to LAFD arrival, and was rescued by Firefighters, who commenced an aggressive resuscitation effort. She is presently at the hospital, now in serious condition. No other injury reported. Update Knockdown Structure Fire; INC#1591; 09:46PM; 2043 W Browning Bl; http://bit.ly/39FkJSD; Exposition Park; 28 Firefighters took only 22 minutes to fully extinguish flames in one unit of a 2,034 square-foot two-story residential duplex. One civilian (unk age/gender/affiliation) was rescued by LAFD responders and taken to an area hospital in critical condition. No other injury reported.
