Update River Rescue; INC#0569; 10:30AM; 10700 Laurel Canyon Bl; https://bit.ly/3Ys1UKY; #Pacoima; LAFD crews have discovered the (teenage?) male in distress, now clinging to a concrete divider within the Pacoima Wash flood control channel near Laurel Canyon Boulevard. The concrete lined channel appears to contain 18" of storm water runoff moving at *5-8 mph*. Traffic - Hydrant ; INC#0078; 01:30AM; 1508 S Alameda St; https://maps.app.goo.gl/r2eJMbYqmVJwbz459?g_st=ic; Downtown; Traffic collision caused a sheared hydrant which firefighters are unable to shut down and require LA DWP to do so. The water is heavily impacting a small commercial building at 1601 Alameda and causing significant structural damage. There are no reported injuries at this time. LAFD will remain onscene attempting to slow the flow of water until DWP arrive. Questions regarding the collision are referred to LAPD Inc# 0243. Traffic - Multi-Casualty Incident; INC#0048; 01:51AM; 2193 W Washington Bl; https://goo.gl/maps/GvjWfyNvTv1pNtZk7; Harvard Heights; 9-1-1 call received at 12:42AM for a three car collision at the end of LAPD pursuit. A total of six patients were transported: 20yo F and 20yo M in critical condition. 15yo M, 14yo F, 14yo M and 22yo F all with non-life threatening injuries. As opposed to information initially received, there were no pedestrians involved. All questions regarding the collision are referred to LAPD Inc# 0105. LAFD Air Ops hoisted the woman and her canine from a remote area near the Cave of Munits, on or near a cliff, and transferred her to firefighters on the ground who evaluated her, found no injuries or illness, and assisted her back to her vehicle. Hiker Rescue 03/04/2023 INC#0776

Hiker Rescue; INC#0776; 12:58PM; 1598 Bienveneda Ave; #PacificPalisades; Hikers found an adult male unresponsive on the ground on or near a trail. LAFD Emergency Dispatchers provided instructions to multiple bystanders who took turns providing CPR. After Firefighters/Paramedics arrived, they took over resuscitative measures for approximately 20 minutes, but sadly, the man was beyond medical help and declared dead at the scene.
