Update Complete HazMat Investigation; INC#1299; 06:10PM; 5151 E State University Dr; http://bit.ly/2SnZJs2; El Sereno; Highly trained LAFD personnel using sophisticated sensing equipment thoroughly and repeatedly examined the organic chemistry laboratory in question and surrounding areas within the 3 story La Kretz Hall on the Cal State LA campus, and discovered no trace of any hazardous substance. There was no evidence of a spill or leak, and no persons ill. HazMat Investigation; INC#1299; 05:03PM; 5151 E State University Dr; http://bit.ly/2SnZJs2; El Sereno; PRELIM: Pursuant to protocol, LAFD Hazardous Material experts are preparing to examine one laboratory room at the 3 story La Kretz Hall on the Cal State LA campus after four students noted an odor in that room before self-evacuating without symptoms (as did an unknown number of persons from the now vacant building) prior to LAFD arrival.
