It was determined that an individual was handling pool maintenance chemicals and two others working in the general area noticing the smell, felt ill and went to the health services office for evaluation. USC internal hazmat team entered the basement and did not find any additional patients. LAFD has not yet entered the basement and are gathering information from USC Public Safety and HazMat. At this time, the patients are reported to be employees and not students. Update Red Flag Parking Restrictions; 07:25PM; Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zones (VHFHSZ); https://bit.ly/RedFlagMap; As the result of forecasted fire weather, Red Flag Parking Restrictions for the City of Los Angeles will remain in effect with strict enforcement overnight, until the restrictions end TOMORROW morning, November 7, 2024, at 8:00AM. Because it remains important for fire apparatus to have room to quickly respond to a brush fire while allowing residents to simultaneously evacuate, vehicles parked illegally tonight in Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zones (VHFHSZ) during Red Flag Parking Restrictions *will be towed*.
