Update Structure Fire Knockdown 04/13/2021 INC#0951

Update Knockdown Structure Fire; INC#0951; 03:46PM; 127 S Park View St; https://bit.ly/2PTQkv8; Westlake; The first arriving 30 LAFD Firefighters took just 9 minutes to discover, confine and fully extinguish fire involving furnishings within one "second floor" (?) unit in what is now described as a 7,714 square-foot, *three* story, 14 unit garden-style apartment building (built 1965) of two occupied floors over 1 level of parking. Simultaneous to the fire extinguishment, firefighters found and rescued an extremely combative adult male with minor to moderate burns from within the burning apartment. His relationship with that apartment unit has yet to be determined. He will be transported to an area hospital by LAFD Paramedics for further evaluation and care of what appear to be non-life threatening injuries. No other injury reported. Burn Injury 04/12/2021 INC#1439

Burn Injury; INC#1439; 08:32PM; 2801 S Overland Av; https://bit.ly/3gdmxbc; Rancho Park; LAFD responders arrived quickly to find one parked compact passenger sedan fully ablaze, with one adult male civilian in extremely critical condition suffering severe full-body burn injuries on a nearby lawn, after bystanders reportedly extinguished him and wrapped him in a blanket. He was promptly transported by LAFD Paramedics to a regional trauma center. The vehicle fire was quickly extinguished by LAFD responders with no fire damage to nearby homes, and no other injuries reported. There were no other vehicles damaged, and no evidence of a collision. Knockdown - Structure Fire 04/12/2021 INC#0422

Knockdown - Structure Fire; INC#0422; 09:03AM; 1168 E 55th St; https://bit.ly/3g4St1G; CentralAlameda; Address numeric *corrected* to 1168. The first arriving 20 LAFD Firefighters took just 17 minutes to confine and fully extinguish stubborn flames within a 1,412 square-foot one-story home (built 1905). All occupants had exited the home safely on LAFD arrival, and one woman was medically evaluated for an unspecified medical concern, before being released at scene. Residents thankfully did NOT re-enter the home to find their missing dog, but instead stayed safely together outside the home to best inform first arriving firefighters, who quickly discovered and safely removed the pet from harm. There are no civilian, animal or responder injuries. The American Red Cross has been summoned to assist the 7 displaced residents ( 4 Adults / 3 Children ).
