Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0875; 01:30PM; 5062 E Alhambra Av; https://bit.ly/3pqkvIx; El Sereno; KNOCKDOWN: The first 44 firefighters (prior to the arrival of additionally requested companies) extinguished the fire in 21 minutes with no injuries reported. The building is updated to approximately 100' x 100' with division walls (separate roof lines). One corner of the roof has caved in. There is evidence this is potentially a Butane Honey Oil (BHO) operation. LAFD Arson, LAFD Hazardous Materials Squad and LAPD requested for the investigation. No other structures were damaged. Update KNOCKDOWN Brush Fire; INC#1173; 04:32PM; 2323 N Silver Ridge Av; https://bit.ly/3A79pOA; Silver Lake; KNOCKDOWN: 34 firefighters (Air Ops released prior to being on scene) extinguished both the brush and structure fires in 28 mins with no injuries reported. There were no other structures damaged and the vegetation fire was contained to the immediate area by the structure fire. Firefighters will remain on scene conducting both mop up (brush) and overhaul (structure) operations which will leave the Silver Ridge Way x Silver Ridge Ave area congested with apparatus and residents are recommended to find alternate routing for the next hour (estimated). Structure Fire ; INC#1863; 10:58PM; 1332 S Hope St; https://bit.ly/3P90C2V; Downtown; FIRE NOW OUT: 32 firefighters extinguished the fire in 13 mins with no injuries reported. Upon arrival at the six story apartment building, there was nothing showing. Firefighters initiated an investigation and located fire in a unit on the 5th floor, being held in check by a sprinkler. After fully extinguishing the fire, crews conducted a search and did not locate any occupants. Firefighters will remain on scene conducting a dewatering operation (from fire sprinkler activation). The well involved auto fire extended into the front entrance walkway of the unit above. Firefighters opened up the floor of the affected area and extinguished the exterior spread as well. All occupants safely exited the unit prior to LAFD arrival.
