There were security measures to overcome in accessing the second floor, and smoke filled the entire building, challenging visibility. It took 49 firefighters 34 minutes to extinguish the flames. No reported injuries. Crews employed defensive tactics (from the exterior) to pour copious amounts of water onto the flames. It took over 70 firefighters one hour and five minutes to extinguish the flames. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0323; 07:02AM; 728 S Hartford Av; https://bit.ly/3cn0c8T; #Westlake; It took 36 firefighters to access, confine, and extinguish fire that involved contents on the second floor, and spread to the walls and attic of a boarded-up two-story home, in 18 minutes. Firefighters pushed flames back away from an adjacent apartment building, containing the damage to the unit of origin. Four occupants were found inside the home and evacuated, but declined on-scene medical evaluation. No reported injuries.
