KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0913; 01:21PM; 9076 N Lev Av; https://bit.ly/4cy2j67; #Arleta; *Corrected address: 9076 North Lev Avenue.* The attic fire in this single family dwelling proved stubborn due to blown-in insulation in the attic that held pockets of heat and embers. Full extinguishment was completed in 25 minutes by first-arriving companies, who coordinated efforts from above and below the fire to contain and douse it. The house was confirmed under construction and unoccupied at the time of the fire, with no injuries to civilians or firefighters. One 35-year-old female patient was transported to a local hospital with burn injuries. LAFD heavy equipment operators, along with Building and Safety, will be on-scene to evaluate the building (the site of multiple previous burns) for demolition due to safety concerns. Sunset Boulevard is closed between Highland Avenue and Orange Drive. Update Brush Fire 06/24/2024 INC#0991

Update Brush Fire; INC#0991; 01:32PM; 15700 W Burbank Bl; https://bit.ly/3RG8PQg; Sepulveda Basin; As the fire fight raged on, it took 80 men and women of the LAFD just under 30 minutes to stop the forward spread of fire in the brush. There were no other injuries reported to civilians or firefighters. Due to the mechanism of injury being from a blast, the firefighter was transported to Northridge Hospital via Air Ambulance. The injuries to the Firefighter are now considered to be serious but not life threatening. PIO Erik Scott is at the Hospital to answer media inquires.
