The fire was well established in the converted attic space and high winds put the home on the north (Delta) side at risk. Firefighters established a handline to defend the exposed home and prevented the fire from extending / damaging it. Cause and $ loss TBD. Power Outage 02/09/2022

Power Outage; 01:10PM; DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES; Due to a power outage in the Downtown LA area, the LAFD is responding to a number of 'stuck elevator' and 'automatic fire alarm' calls in numerous buildings in the affected area. These are common occurrences when a building loses power. We have no reports of any injuries. We do not have any information regarding the possible cause of the power outage and all questions are referred to LA DWP. ; Margaret Stewart
