Knockdown - Greater Alarm Structure Fire; INC#0089; 02:00AM; 1500 N Main St; https://bit.ly/3Klxnrp; #Chinatown; 77 Firefighters took just 29 minutes in defensive operations, to extinguish flames in a vacant 30' x 40' commercial building, the site of a previous blaze. Despite sizeable flames and portions of the structure collapsing into the subfloor during the the well-coordinated firefight, adjacent businesses were protected from harm. Though the building showed evidence of previous unlawful habitation, no persons were discovered, and no injuries have been reported. Firefighters will remain on scene to further search the premises and overhaul smoldering debris. KNOCKDOWN Brush Fire; INC#1180; 04:56PM; 9505 W Hidden Valley Rd; https://bit.ly/3k9xwDC; Beverly Crest; KNOCKDOWN: Firefighters contained and extinguished the fire in 48 minutes, holding it to 1/4 acre. No residences were damaged. Firefighters will remain on scene to conduct for about 2 hours to conducted mop up operations and ensure no hot spots remain. Beverley Hills Fire (BHFD) Engine 2 and BC1 are also on scene. There are no injuries reported. The downed powerlines remain an electrical hazard and LA Dept of Water and Power will handle and are the agency for any questions regarding power restoration (it is unknown how many may be affected at this time).
