Update Structure Fire; 01:45PM; 5858 N Shoup Av; internal:/; Woodland Hills; Gas line continues to burn actively and will do so until SoCal Gas is able to safely shut down the line. LAFD working to protect the area from the embers and flames to prevent further spread while evacuating the neighboring homes (number unk). Anticipate gas line being secured (shut down) in 25-30 mins. Buildings exposed on 3 sides of the fire with homes being evacuated. No injuries reported. SoCal Gas enroute to shut off gas line. Structure Fire; 06:12AM; 2448 E 25th St; https://goo.gl/maps/im4tKmUY7hR2; Industry building using a lead based operation with fire in a 'hopper' (large container size=?) that extended through the ducting. The ducting is separate from the building and there is no fire affecting the structure itself. This structure crosses the boundary into Vernon and due to the possible lead hazards, Haz Mat squads from both LAFD and Vernon are working together to address the fire in ducts while mitigating the hazards. Update Brush Fire; 07:01PM; 5048 W Coliseum St; internal:/; Crenshaw District / Baldwin Hills; KNOCKDOWN: 103 FF (plus Air and Ground crews from LACoFD) in 53 mins. The aggressive, coordinated air and ground attack by LAFD and LACoFD ensured the fire was stopped and none of the threatened homes were damaged. LAFD crews will remain on scene to 'mop up' remaining hot spots. No injuries reported. ; FS 94; Batt 18; South Bureau; Council District 10; Margaret Stewart
