Update Brush Fire KNOCKDOWN 03/09/2018

KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; 03:55PM; 4340 S 2nd Av; internal:/; #LeimertPark; First arriving 20 Firefighters took just 11 minutes to confined fire to kitchen area of 1,301 square-foot one-story home (built 1924); Witness/es apparently rescued one resident (elder female?) from within the burning structure prior to LAFD arrival; LAFD Paramedics anticipate transporting the resident (unspecified injuries), and an adult male (rescuer? with minor burns and smoke inhalation) to an area hospital; Their age, medical condition, affiliation and circumstances are awaiting confirmation; Though the fire was localized to the kitchen, the specific cause remains under investigation; Monetary loss from the fire has yet to be tabulated; Dispatched Units: E34 RA834 RA66 E94 T94 E294 E215 T15 BC13 E26 RA257 EM11 BC18 CM22; - Brian Humphrey
