While LAFD Air Operations was conducting a low level recon, the person moved into an open area with a dog (possible cat as well per earlier reports). The fire was primarily located in one room. The patient will be evaluated by firefighter/paramedics. Crews will be made available as they recover their equipment. Full River Rescue; INC#0299; 06:47AM; 6450 N Corbin Av; https://bit.ly/44EQTfw; Winnetka; After searching from ground and air for over an hour, firefighters *may* have located the reporting person trapped in the 48” drainage tunnel (with screen) near Corbin St bridge. It is a very technical operation to safely gain access and establish a two line rope rescue system, using a high-point off the Heavy Rescue boom. The pipe leads to the river which requires all downstream rescue companies to remain in place for the duration as a safety backup. There were two other persons located the area who were not in distress and moved out. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1493; 11:02PM; 1600 S Pacific Av; https://bit.ly/499MUJ9; San Pedro; KNOCKDOWN: Over 100 firefighters fought the Major Emergency fire for two hours to achieve knockdown. There are no injuries reported to firefighters or civilians. The overhaul operation is anticipated to last approximately two hours. The bulk of the fire was in a bike rental business with extension into a car repair / sales business housed in the same building. Following protocol for a Major Emergency fire, LAFD Arson is on scene to conducted the cause investigation.
