The adult male hiker has not be in contact with his family and this incident is now transitioning to a 'missing person' with LAPD in command (anticipating LA Co Sheriff Dept providing ground search personnel). Any questions regarding the ongoing search are referred to LAPD Inc# 4014. Hiker Rescue - Hoist Op; INC#1545; 02:02PM; 1501 N Will Rogers State Park Rd; https://bit.ly/2Vd4NVH; Pacific Palisades; LAFD Air Ops, in coordination with firefighters on the ground, located 2 of 3 lost but uninjured hikers. Air Ops conducted a hoist operation to retrieve the two hikers and the search continues from both ground and air for the third hiker whom had left the group. CONTAINED - Brush Fire; INC#1257; 06:40PM; Cahuenga Peak; https://bit.ly/3QxxNRW; #HollywoodHills; A series of precise LAFD helicopter water drops have stopped forward progress of the fire at approximately one (1) acre of brush in remote, rugged terrain northwest of Mt. Lee. No injury. No structure threat or damage. LAFD ground crews will remain at scene tonight to complete extinguishment at the perimeter of the burn area to assure final extinguishment. The fire's cause is currently "under active investigation". Though a pair of male hikers were seen on trails near the fire, their specific actions and intent have yet to be determined.
