There exists the potential for homes to be threatened at the top of the hill (Wawona St). Crews are working to anchor the fire at the freeway while additional resources respond to Wawona for structural defense. Verdugo Fire is also sending a full response. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1002; 02:00PM; 113 S Edgemont St; https://bit.ly/3YWH2iN; Koreatown; KNOCKDOWN: 78 firefighters (companies still enroute were canceled) extinguished the fire in 21 minutes with no injuries reported. Firefighters located the fire on the 3rd floor and contained it to the unit of origin while additional crews checked the floors above and below for smoke and conducted salvage operations to protect belongings against damage.
