One adult female patient was ejected from the vehicle and was beyond medical help, being determined dead on scene. LA County Coroner will handle cause and identification. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0274; 08:08AM; 861 N Alma Real Dr; https://bit.ly/3lrwEc8; Pacific Palisades; 28 LAFD firefighters performed a coordinated fire attack, with vertical ventilation and salvage operations, to extinguish a stubborn fire (that appeared to have started in the attic) inside of a public library in 58 minutes. Firefighters saved nearly all of the books inside, while extinguishing the flames and stopping the water flow from automatic fire sprinklers. No reported injuries.
