The first arriving 50 LAFD ground-based firefighters took just 24 minutes to access, confine and fully extinguish what airborne firefighters have determined to be one-quarter (0.25) acre of medium brush. Though some structures, including an apartment building were in the path of advancing flames, proper vegetation clearance gave firefighters a defensive advantage and prevented the buildings from being directly threatened by flames. No injury. No evacuation.
